Bulldog Summary

Bull Dog a famous breed of dog family is kind, courageous, friendly but dignified.

The popular bull dog has loose skin of the head, furrowed brow, pushed-in nose and small ears. The breed has undershot jaw with hanging chops on either side, and the distinctive rolling gait.

Weighing around 50 pounds, the Bulldog is seen in a variety of colors with coating that makes it look short, smooth, and glossy. They enjoy brisk walks and need regular moderate exercise, along with a careful diet, to stay trim.

Bulldog have a thick-set, low-slung, well-muscled bruiser with a “Sour Mug” face. This is the universal symbol of courage, tenacity with docile, loyal companions adapt well to town or country.

Bulldogs does not like summers and requires cool temperature of an air-conditioned room. They find short snout that can cause labored breathing in hot and humid temperature.

Bulldog History

Bulldog needs no special introduction for the dog lovers and common mass as well. They are superlative breed of dog with its world famous popularity than any other breed.

This breed was created in 13th-century England for the sport eve of the bullbaiting. Bulldog were ferocious brutes with huge jaws, unbelievably brave and seemingly impervious to pain.

With the passage of time a turning point in the history of Bulldog came in 1835, when England banned blood sports with animals.

Later, Bulldog were then cross breed and forth early prototypes. This includes the Bull Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and other bull-type terrier breeds that exist and are still popular today.
