Labrador Retriever is famous breed of the dog that is near to human society.

Labrador Retriever one of the popular breed of dogs is the sturdy and well-balanced. It varies its size from 21.5 to 24.5 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 55 to 80 pounds depending on its sex.

The dog is dense, hard coat that comes three shade yellow, black, and a luscious chocolate. With wide head, kind glimmering eyes and shape forever signaling the breed earns lots of attention.

Labrador Retriever are very social, friendly and are companionable with the all the housemates and neighbor dogs too. They are enthusiastic athlete and requires lots of exercise, like swimming and marathon games to keep them physically and mentally fit.

The Labrador Retriever are believed to be the traditional waterdog of Newfoundland. They were long employed as a duck retriever and true fisherman’s mate.

The breed began its steady climb to supreme popularity in the early 1800s, when they were spotted by English nobles visiting Canada.

With the latter half of the 19th century, British breeders refined and standardized the breed. Thus, Labrador Retriever came into its true existences.

The Kennel Club (England) recognized Labrador Retriever in 1903, and registered its first dog of the breed in 1917. Also, they widely got appreciated in 1991 while reigned as America’s favorite breed ever since.
